You see people every day and no one knows what anyone is really going through; battling with depression, illness, loss of a dear relative or friend or maybe even a bad break up. Let’s not forget those that are bullied or made to feel unimportant on a regular basis.
One kind word from you could stir up light in someone, give them hope that their circumstance isn’t all there is to life. Friendships are probably the greatest things that could ever happen to a person. Having that special friend or maybe a group of them, to share memories with, laugh with and pour out your thoughts to is reassuring and comforting as well; knowing that you’re not alone and that people have your back brings some amount of joy to a person’s life.
Do friends fight? Obviously, they fight! However, like all other relationships: siblings, husbands and wives, they make up and they learn from their mistakes. Sometimes the friendship has to end because of what happened but that is okay also. However, the friend was not bad; he or she just did something you did not like.
Society tries to define a bad friend for us; that person mummy always says you should not be your friends. Now, that person is not a bad friend. The person maybe a bad influence, but he or she is not a bad friend. Even the worst person on this planet is a friend to someone.
Be careful though, when choosing a friend because friends do rub off on each other and I am sure we all want to be affected positively. Do not forget, a person is your friend or not and the definition of a friend is not changing anytime soon.

What exactly does this word mean? I'm a Christian anyway, so permit me to say that my basic moral compass ( the bible ) doesn't specifically specify( lol) what love means, but what it does say, is that love is patient, kind, good, long-suffering and devoted. It really just goes a long way to say that for all of us who use that word everyday, we don't understand, not really, the emotional depth, importance and effort required to actually 'love' someone. Take it from someone who is well aware of her shortcomings ,😁loving someone or people is hard. It means putting that person's needs above your own and even if you feel you're the most empathetic person out there, think about it. If you saw someone on the road and they looked like they were about to collapse and you were absolutely and utterly tired, would you assist that person to their destination? Tell yourself that you wouldn't cause you're a Nigerian and you don't know who they are, or better still, go with the excuse that you would probably collapse helping the person but you know as they say 'No man ever drowned in his own sweat'😁😅(Ann Landers) . If you can honestly say you would help the person then I totally have to learn from you and if like me, you come up with excuses to justify thinking about your needs, that's fine too, but there's certainly room for improvement. My point simply isn't that love is impossible. It's absolutely possible if you put your mind to it and if you're a Christian like me😊😄, you pray and pray and pray you get it right one day. Ultimately, it's a decision and we are all capable of making those( wink, wink)
So before I bore you further 😂I'll call it a day and say love is a special word with an even more special meaning. Don't misuse it and when you do use it, mean it. You'd be making the world a better place.😘
